This post is dedicated to my good friend Johan Colon who just graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Graphic Design. When he asked me to take his senior portraits I couldn’t say no, I had to do this and get it right. He was very precise on the locations he wanted to take the pictures at, so two days before graduation we went to the main campus and made it happen. We first went to Lake Claire, it was such a pretty day and the location fitted perfectly with the ideas we wanted to accomplished. Our second location was the Meditation Garden inside the Burnett Honors College, it was my first time visiting this garden. It was’t a big garden but it was very pretty and we were able to capture some cute shots surrounded by nature. Our third location was a must, inside the Student Union there’s the well-known UCF seal on the floor. Every student knows best not to stand on it because if they do they will never graduate. Johan however did stood on it, he even lay on it and still graduated, I guess the curse doesn’t work on students wearing their cap and gowns?. =D Our fourth and final location took place at the famous Reflecting Pond, when we arrived it had been shut off for cleaning, but as we were leaving it was turned on for a bout 1 minute before it was shut off again. That was plenty of time to take a few shots, so we covered all four locations in about 2 hours with a few off location shots. I was so happy that Johan picked me to take his photos, I had so much fun taking them. Here are some of my favorite. Johan Colon is a very talented Graphic Designer.
